Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, announced that it will open two new routes to Cyprus in April 2011 from Bologna, Italy and Dusseldorf (Weeze), Germany. Ryanair now offers four Cyprus routes to/from Larnaka International Airport. Ryanair’s Cyprus traffic will increase to 120,000 passengers in 2011 sustaining up to 120 local jobs.
Ryanair celebrated its new Cyprus routes in 2011 by launching 1 million €6 a seat sale for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in late February and March. Ryanair’s new routes from Larnaka to Bologna and Dusseldorf (Weeze) can now be booked on www.ryanair.com .
Speaking today, Ryanair’s Melisa Corrigan said:
““Ryanair is delighted to announce two new routes from Larnaka. Ryanair’s four Cyprus routes will provide Cyprus consumers/visitors with more low fare connections, including the new ones to Italy and Germany, deliver 120,000 passengers p.a. and sustain 120 local jobs.

The availability of low cost flights from Germany and Italy will definitely boost tourism to Cyprus from two of Europe’s most important markets, adding to the success we have already had with Ryanair flights to Larnaka from Charleroi, Belgium, and Girona, Spain”.
In addition, Ryanair announced that from midnight Monday 7th of February it will release 1 million €8 spring seats for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in March. These “all in” low fares will be available on over 500 of Ryanair’s European routes but must be booked on www.ryanair.com before midnight of Thursday, February 10th.
