Seçtiklerimiz

Melbourne Airport today reported positive passenger results, with overall growth of 8% for the third quarter of the 2009/2010 financial year.

The international market grew solidly, up by 16% when compared with the same quarter last year.

The domestic passenger market also grew, by 5% compared with the same quarter last year.

Melbourne Airport CEO Chris Woodruff said: "We work hard to offer low costs and a high level of service and we would like to thank all of our airlines for their continued support and investment in Melbourne Airport.

"We operate 24 hours which allows for scheduling flexibility, have a single terminal precinct allowing for ease of domestic and international connection and are in very close proximity to the CBD, which is only a twenty minute bus ride away" he said.

"It has been a busy quarter, largely attributed to Easter, international students arriving for the beginning of the university year and increased services from our airlines. Qantas launched an A380 service on the popular London – Melbourne route, V Australia launched services to Johannesburg, Tiger Airways to Brisbane and Jetstar increased services to Cairns" he said.

"In addition to this, we had a number of positive announcements this quarter – AirAsia X will be doubling services from Melbourne in July, Jetstar will commence Brisbane services and Tiger will recommence Darwin services" he said.
