Finnair will lease out two 76-seater Embraer 170 aircraft for four years from the beginning of June.
"At the moment Finnair is not using all of its Embraer planes in its scheduled traffic programme," says Maunu Visuri, Managing Director of Finnair Aircraft Finance. "It’s very satisfactory that we are able to make use of our assets by leasing out the aircraft."
The value of the lease agreement is almost 20 million US dollars. The leasing arrangements are being made by the US-based Jetscape Inc.
Finnair Aircraft Finance, responsible for administering the Finnair fleet, either owns or leases a total of ten Embraer 170 aircraft. Of these two are leased to Finncomm Airlines in Finland. The aircraft leased to Kenya Airways are for sale. In addition, Finnair also operates ten 100-seater Embraer 190 aircraft.
