Effective 14 and 17 April, 2010, Cargolux, Europe’s largest all-cargo carrier, operates a twice weekly Trans-Pacific service, a milestone in the company’s history.
CV 7583 departs Luxembourg at 09.15 p.m. on Wednesdays, operated via Baku, with arrival in Hong Kong on Thursday at 05.15 p.m. Departure from Hong Kong, CV 6584, is at 07.15 p.m. same day, with arrival in Chicago on Thursday at 11.20 p.m. From Chicago, CV 6595 departs at 01.20 a.m. on Friday morning for New York, arriving at New York’s JFK Airport at 04.10 a.m. Return to Luxembourg is at 06.10 a.m., with arrival at 07.35 p.m. on Friday evening.
The second flight, CV 7526, is operated out of Luxembourg on Saturdays, leaving the company’s home base at 06.00 a.m. Operation is via Beirut and Amman, prior to arriving in Hong Kong at 04.30 a.m. on Sunday morning. Departure from Hong Kong, CV 6586, is at 06.30 a.m. same day, arriving in Chicago at 10.40 a.m. on Sunday morning. From Chicago CV 6597 departs at 12.40 p.m. with arrival in New York at 03.30 p.m. From there the aircraft returns at 05.30 p.m. to Luxembourg where it arrives at 07.00 a.m. on Monday morning.
On board Cargolux’s Trans-Pacific flights, mostly general cargo will be transported.
