Perth Airport is gearing up for its annual Christmas rush with the opening of a new long term car park at the International Terminal and great new shopping and dining options at both the International and Domestic Terminals. New Parking A new long term car park (LONGterm H), with capacity for 1,416 cars, is now open along Horrie Miller Drive providing safe and secure parking, 24 hours a day.
The car park is serviced by a free shuttle service which transfers passengers from the air conditioned shelter to the front of the terminal, every 10 minutes. Comprehensive CCTV coverage, combined with state-of-the-art vehicle licence plate recognition ensures greater security for vehicles. An additional 1,545 bays will be constructed as part
of Stage 2 of this project and will be open in April 2011.
With the opening of this new car park, there are now over 10,150 parking bays at Perth Airport. Long term parking rates are very competitive with a seven day stay costing $88.
New Outlets at Terminal 3 (Domestic) Red Rooster, Sumo Salad and Hudsons Coffee are now open on Level 1 in the Departures area, providing passengers with some great dining options this Christmas.
For those wanting to pick up a
new pair of bathers or a hat before their flight, you can now visit Beachculture, which is also now
open in the Departures area on Level 1. New Outlets at Terminal 1 (International) For those looking for a tasty wok-inspired creation before their flight, visit Wots in the Wok which has opened on Level 1 (before Security). Two new retail outlets have also opened at the International Terminal, Think WA and Australian Made which provide passengers with the opportunity to
purchase a unique piece of Western Australia before they fly.
Christmas Cheer in the Terminals Santa will be visiting the International and Domestic Terminals between Monday 20 and Friday 24 December. Carollers will also be performing daily in the terminals and our Gold Coat and West Oz Welcomer volunteers will be assisting passengers with their journey.
As the Christmas period is a very busy time, we recommend passengers allow extra time for their journey to the airport and for the Check-In and security screening process. Perth Airport recently announced a commitment of $500 million over the next three years to deliver new and expanded passenger terminals, expanded aircraft parking areas and expanded public
access infrastructure. These works will commence in 2011 with the first stage completed by 2012.
