Marshall Aerospace Signs Support Contract for Turkish Air Force C-130J Fleet

Marshall Aerospace has signed a multi-year agreement to provide long-term sustainment and entry-into-service support for 12 newly-acquired Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules aircraft purchased by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence. The contract includes scheduled maintenance, spare parts supply and specialist tooling for the fleet throughout its operational lifecycle.

As part of the programme, Marshall Aerospace will deliver comprehensive training to Turkish Air Force personnel, helping Türkiye develop an indigenous maintenance capability on the C-130J platform and achieve greater operational independence.

Working in partnership with the UK Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), Marshall oversaw the resale process and conducted aircraft storage, protection and anti-corrosion maintenance at its Cambridge facilities. Prior to entering Turkish service, each aircraft will also undergo a critical structural upgrade involving the replacement of the center wing box.

Commenting on the agreement, Marshall Aerospace CEO Bob Baxter said:

We are delighted to support Türkiye’s modern tactical airlift fleet and keep these aircraft mission-ready. This contract further reinforces our position as a leading provider of through-life fleet support within the global C-130 community.

Marshall Aerospace has previously supported the acquisition and entry-into-service phases of eight C-130 and C-130J operators worldwide, including the Austrian Air Force, the Bangladesh Air Force and the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels demonstration team. Türkiye now joins this global user network as the latest operator.
