Icelandair Delivers Strong October Performance; Passenger Numbers Reach 4.4 Million
Reykjavík – Icelandair has posted a strong monthly performance in October, with passenger numbers reaching 4.4 million, marking a considerable increase.
The airline highlighted that its seasonal growth strategy is bearing fruit, with healthy demand to, from and via Iceland helping to drive results.
Load factor for the month held steady, while on-time performance remained robust despite some adverse weather at the end of the month.
Chief Executive Bogi Nils Bogason said: “We are very pleased with our October performance. The increase in passengers is in line with our strategy to reduce seasonality and strengthen markets to and from Iceland.”
The company asserted that its dual focus on tourism and transit traffic continues to deliver resilience, even as the industry faces broader challenges.
