Boeing engineers in Wichita reject latest labor contract

Seçtiklerimiz

As expected, engineers at Boeing Co.’s  Wichita, Kan., facility have rejected the company’s latest contract offer, the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace said late Thursday. The union’s members voted 88% against the contract, which would have included a 3% pay raise offset by higher out-of-pocket health costs and the elimination of a pension for new employees, the union said. Speea said members at Boeing facilities in Washington, Oregon, California, and Utah recently signed an agreement for secured pay raises totaling 20% over the next four years and kept its pension plan for new workers. Union and Boeing representatives will not begin a new round of labor talks.
