From 16 January Vietnam Airlines is to operate a new direct flight from Hanoi to the popular beach resort of Quy Nhon. The new flight should be popular as it will avoid the need for a time consuming transfer and aircraft change in Ho Chi Minh City-some transfers currently involve an overnight stop.
The new flights operate from Hanoi on Weds, Fri and Sundays leaving at 0645 and landing Quy Nhon at 0825-the return departs at 0915 and gets back to Hanoi at 1055, a flight time of 1hr and 40 mins. A Fokker 70 single class (economy) aircraft will operate the direct flight and can accommodate up to 79 passengers.
Quy Nhon is the capital of Bunh Dinh province in central Southern Vietnam and is appx 550 miles south of Hanoi. The area is popular for it’s white sandy beaches, diverse landscape, rich culture and history. It is only a short distance from the ancient capital of Cham Tra Ban which attracts many visitors each year.
