The certificate of successful audit carried out by IOSA standards, developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) became witness of reliability, safety and high quality of air transport services of Uzbekiston Havo Yollari national airline, Director General of the company Valeriy Tyan told journalists on 15 July.

“Due to our strategy and future integration into SkyTeam alliance, in spring of this year an audit was carried out, which confirmed the correspondence of industrial activity and procedures for supporting the required level of safety of Uzbekiston Havo Yollari flights with international standards. And today we have obtained the corresponding certificate,” the head of the national airline of Uzbekistan noted.

It should be noted that on 8 April 2009 an independent auditor company officially announced that IOSA audit is finished, and on 16 June 2009 also finished inspection in IATA, which confirmed the information of audit. Then IATA officially announced that national air carrier of Uzbekistan is included into register of IOSA operators.

IATA program which received a title IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) represents the standardized audit program of passenger airline, based on international standards.

IOSA certificate is a generally acknowledged quality mark of airline. It is a required attribute for many air carriers on decision making about expediency on concluding collaboration agreements on joint exploitation of air lines and acquiring a right for sale of air tickets on flights of partner airlines.

Management of Uzbekiston Havo Yollari believes the most important thing is an approved international status of safety of air carrier. The presence of a certificate is an obligatory requirement on entering into IATA and other international airline alliances. Thus, the national airline of Uzbekistan has made the next and most important step on entry to SkyTeam alliance.

“Besides expenses on carrying out an audit, any additional expenses are not required for the airline. Because we have been preparing for this for a long time, and direct audit shall allow us to systemize our documentation of all processes in accordance with international standards,” Valeriy Tyan said.

He said these standards were rigid enough and they practically concerned all directions of airline activity and assumed documentary registration of all production processes.

“And this means that any of our personnel in any conditions have accurate instructions and registered procedure of actions,” he added.

Notably, IOSA certification is not only obligatory procedure for airline members of IATA. It is a part of policy of national airline on improvement of its activity. On preparation for audit, Uzbekiston Havo Yollari has reorganized the work of its subdivisions in accordance with international standards of quality and flights safety.

The check lists contain more than 900 standards and consist of all airline activity, including “Corporative systems of organization and management”, “Execution of flights”, “Operative control of flights, dispatch”, “Aviation technology and maintenance of aircraft”, “Service of flight attendants”, “Land handling service”, “Transportation of goods”.

In particular, specialists of the airline during audit have successfully confirmed 123 standards on sphere of aviation safety and 360 standards on flight work. Successful passage of audit meant their absolute execution. According to IATA, national airline of Uzbekistan has successfully passed through this examine with honor.

It is possible to say that certificate of IOSA operator became evident of not only high estimation of Uzbekiston Havo Yollari by IATA, but also affirmation of high professionalism of the whole team of national airline of Uzbekistan.
