Qantas Appoints Executive General Manager Human Resources

Qantas Airways Limited announced today the appointment of Mr Jon Scriven to the role of Executive General Manager Human Resources.

Qantas Chief Executive Officer, Mr Alan Joyce, said the appointment reflected the importance Qantas placed on continuing to develop its workforce.

“Qantas is determined to invest and remain focused on long-term goals,” Mr Joyce said.

“Jon Scriven’s appointment reflects the importance we place on further developing the large and diverse workforce we need to be a world-class service business.”

Mr Scriven will join Qantas and take up the role in early April. He comes to the company with a strong background in human resources, most recently at Coca-Cola Amatil, where he has been Group Human Resources Director since 2002.
