Airbus has delivered Lufthansa’s 100th A320 Family aircraft from Airbus’ Final Assembly Line in Hamburg. The aircraft, an A320, was handed over to Lufthansa yesterday evening.
Nico Buchholz, Lufthansa’s Head of Corporate Fleet Management said: “The acquisition and delivery of the 100th A320 Family aircraft is another milestone in our partnership with Airbus. We are continuing to benefit from the reliability, economic and ecological efficiency, as well as the passenger appeal of the A320 Family.” Airbus Chief Operating Officer – Customers, John Leahy commented: “The delivery of Lufthansa’s 100th A320 Family aircraft not only speaks for the tremendous success of the A320 programme, but also for our strong relationship with Lufthansa, one of the world’s largest Airbus operators.” He added: “The A320 Family is the world’s most eco-efficient, modern and reliable.
