AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today announced it will offer AirTran Airways customers more options when using mobile devices to manage their air travel.
“We're always looking for ways to provide AirTran Airways customers with easier access to our web site and services,” said Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways. “Travelers rely on their handhelds to improve productivity and convenience. With this expanded application, our passengers can make travel plans at the touch of a button. And now that AirTran's entire fleet is Wi-Fi equipped, customers can use these services from 30,000 feet.” With the expanded mobile web services, customers can book flights and change or cancel their travel plans – all from the convenience of their mobile devices. These new services complement existing services AirTran offers on mobile devices, including viewing flight status and checking in for flights.
