Sydney Airport’s International Terminal is planning a new interactive kids play zone to eradicate those cries of “I’m bored” while waiting for planes.
Called “Geometric You”, it features a mirror-style screen that reflects a user’s image and movements and also adds images for the user to interact with.It will be unveiled at the terminal in the middle of next year.
It is the work of a partnership between Sydney Airport and the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences and will be an addition to another multimedia play area installed near Gate 53.
Airport CEO Kerrie Mather said she hoped passengers would embrace the project.
“We’ve harnessed the power of technology to showcase a range of clever and creative games to be enjoyed by children and passengers of all ages,” Ms Mather said.
“Families can enjoy fun and immersive play before boarding their flight.”
