Embraer Reports Record Start: Revenue Up 31% in Q1 2026
Brazil-based global aerospace manufacturer Embraer delivered its strongest first-quarter performance in history in 2026. The company reported revenues of $1.4 billion, marking a 31% increase compared to the same period last year.
This strong performance was primarily driven by growth in the Defense & Security and Commercial Aviation segments, while the company’s continued focus on operational efficiency also contributed positively to its financial results.
Improvement in Profitability and Operational Efficiency
Embraer reported adjusted EBIT of $94 million in the first quarter, with its profit margin rising to 6.5%. This represents an improvement compared to the same period of the previous year. Adjusted net income totaled $27.7 million.
Investment levels also increased during the quarter. Embraer invested approximately $98.8 million, and when including its eVTOL venture Eve, total investments reached $148.6 million.
Defense and Commercial Aviation Stand Out
One of the strongest performing segments was Defense & Security, where revenues increased by 63% to $227 million. This growth was supported by higher revenue recognition in the Embraer KC-390 Millennium program and increased production rates of the Embraer A-29 Super Tucano.
Commercial Aviation also showed strong growth, with revenues rising 45% to $293 million, driven by higher production volumes and improved pricing.
In Executive Jets, revenues reached $418 million, representing a 30% increase, while Services & Support generated $490 million, up 15% year-over-year.
Deliveries and Backlog Reach Record Levels
Embraer delivered a total of 44 aircraft in the first quarter of 2026, a 47% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The company’s backlog reached $32.1 billion, marking its sixth consecutive all-time high.
These results reinforce Embraer’s strong position in the global market and highlight its continued growth momentum supported by balanced production and rising demand.
