Daher and Safran Expand Strategic Partnership in Aerospace Logistics

Daher has strengthened its long-standing collaboration with Safran through the award of new logistics contracts in Germany and France, marking a significant step forward in their partnership.

New Contracts in Germany and France

As part of the expanded cooperation, Daher will manage a logistics warehouse in Hamburg for Safran Nacelles, supporting engine nacelle integration operations near the Airbus A320neo final assembly line. A dedicated team will handle key on-site logistics activities, including storage, parts preparation, handling, and shipping.

In parallel, a new 3,000-square-meter logistics platform will be established in Tremblay-en-France to support maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) activities for Safran Electronics & Defense. The facility’s proximity to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will enable rapid-response operations for critical aircraft situations.

Strengthening Industrial and Aftermarket Capabilities

The new projects, scheduled to begin operations in April 2026, expand Daher’s role across both production logistics and aftermarket services. The partnership already includes long-term cooperation with Safran Helicopter Engines across multiple sites in France, involving over 150 Daher employees.

This expansion highlights the growing importance of integrated logistics solutions in supporting aircraft manufacturing and maintenance operations, particularly as global fleet sizes continue to increase.

Focus on Speed, Efficiency, and Digitalization

The Tremblay-en-France platform will handle thousands of shipments annually and include on-call AOG services with rapid response times. Daher will also deploy advanced warehouse management systems to ensure real-time tracking and operational efficiency.

In addition, both companies are collaborating on automation initiatives, including automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and advanced storage technologies, further enhancing supply chain performance.

Growing Demand in the Global MRO Market

The partnership expansion comes amid rising demand for aviation maintenance and spare parts logistics. With the global MRO market expected to grow significantly in the coming years, efficient logistics solutions are becoming increasingly critical for airlines and aerospace operators worldwide.

This strengthened collaboration positions Daher and Safran to play a key role in meeting the evolving needs of the aerospace supply chain across Europe and beyond.
