Emirates slams BAA for London Heathrow mix up following severe weather conditions

Seçtiklerimiz

Emirates Airline has blasted the British Airports Authority after two of its flights took off for London Heathrow from Dubai, only to be told they couldn’t land as the airport was closed. Britain is currently experiencing heavy snow and flights in and out of the country have been severely affected.

Tim Clark, president of Emirates Airline stated: "This has caused enormous inconvenience to the 900 plus passengers on-board, in addition to those who have already been stranded in the UK and Europe." Many passengers from all over the world have been stranded at Heathrow airport as numerous flights are cancelled. "Furthermore, Emirates has had to cancel three additional Heathrow flights today, which were also fully booked.

This will have the same impact on the return flights to Dubai. Emirates’ ability to mount the extra sections required to recover the enormous back-log is very limited and we will be discussing this issue with the BAA," Clark added.
