airBaltic carries over 3 million passengers in 2010

airBaltic carried overall 3,206,735 passengers in 2010, representing 16% increase comparing with 2009.
       
        Bertolt Flick, President and Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “airBaltic achieved good results in December, however, we were affected by unusually severe weather conditions leading to changes in the flight schedule.”
       
        Latvian airline carried 208,282 passengers in December 2010 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing 4% decrease comparing with the same month in 2009, when airBaltic transported 216,051 passengers.
       
        In December, airBaltic operated 4,003 flights, or 5% more than in December 2009 when airBaltic operated 3,825 flights. Between January and the end of December, the airline provided 56,098 flights in all, representing 22% increase comparing with 2009.
       
        The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in December 2010 was at a level of 63% – or 3% points less than in December 2009. During the twelve months of 2010 the airline’s load factor was at a level of 69% – or 1% point more than in the same period in 2009.
       
        The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 68.3% in December 2010. This means that more than 68 of every 100 airBaltic flights in December departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes. The accumulated 15-minute punctuality indicator for 2010 was 83.4%.
