Emirates has announced that it will deploy its super jumbo A380 aircraft into Beijing from August 1st. Emirates currently operates a 2x daily rotation with a mix of widebody aircraft, A340 and B777 aircraft.
Emirates faces competition on the route from Air China (4x weekly), China Southern (3x weekly) and Hainan Airlines (5x weekly)
In the twelve month period between Nov 08-09, over 123,000 passengers have flown the city pairs directly with Emirates having a 42% market share.
