Ethiopian Airlines will expand its operation in the new 2009/10 winter season, increasing flight frequencies to its eleven destinations in Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia effective October 25, 2009.
Offering a greater choice of flights and better connections, Ethiopian will add four weekly flights to Nairobi and Dar-es-salaam, two weekly flights to Accra, Delhi, Beijing, and one weekly flight to Stockholm, Tel Aviv, Bamako, Dakar, Juba and Lubumbashi. Passengers looking to travel to these destinations will have more choice with the additional frequencies adding further convenience and flexibility to their travel plans. Ethiopian also offers wide range of tour packages on its website for visitors to most vibrant and charming tourism destinations of East Africa. Currently, Ethiopian operates 68 weekly flights to East Africa, with morning and evening departures. Passengers from West Africa will get immediate connections with the newly introduced Nairobi and Dar-es-salaam night flights. “This is one way Ethiopian contributes to the business growth and tourism development of Africa”, said Mr. Tewolde G. Mariam, Chief Operating Officer of the airline. The new winter schedule also heralds the opening of new services to Mombasa, Monrovia and Conakry.
