KLM Cancels Over 100 Flights as Ground Staff Strike at Amsterdam
On September 17, 2025, KLM was forced to cancel approximately 104 flights at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport due to a four-hour walkout by ground‐workers from 08:00 to 12:00 CET. The labor action—part of an ongoing dispute over working conditions and collective bargaining—also led to delays for many more flights.
Thousands of passengers were affected. KLM has said it will rebook impacted travelers onto the next available flights, although due to the scale of the disruption, rebooking may take longer than normal.
