Rossiya Airlines will transfer some of its flights from Vnukovo International Airport to Sheremetyevo International Airport (Terminal D) at the start of the 2018/19 winter season. Starting from 28 October 2018 Russia’s largest airport will service the following flights:
Moscow-Vladivostok
Moscow-Khabarovsk
Moscow-Magadan
Moscow-Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
Moscow-Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk
Moscow-Kaliningrad
Moscow-Simferopol
Moscow-Orenburg
Moscow-Denpasar
The transfer of these flights is part of Aeroflot Group’s measures to create a strong transit hub (Rossiya Airlines is the second largest carrier of Aeroflot Group). Working with Sheremetyevo airport will allow the Group to streamline its route network and give passengers convenient transit opportunities on important domestic routes.
Tickets can be bought online at Aeroflot’s official website.
Ground services, including check-in and aircraft ground handling, will be carried out by LLC Sheremetyevo Handling, a subsidiary of JSC MASh. LLC Sheremetyevo Handling has purchased additional equipment and hired and trained new personnel to meet growing demand for services in view of increasing passenger traffic from Aeroflot and other airlines’ plans to transfer to Sheremetyevo airport.
Sheremetyevo’s modern infrastructure and operating capacities, which are expected to increase following the commissioning of the third runway, will support Aeroflot Group’s long-term growth.
