Embraer and ALADA Forge Strategic Partnership to Expand in Latin America and Africa

Embraer has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with ALADA to explore new business opportunities in the defense and security sectors across Latin America and Africa.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed during the FIDAE aerospace exhibition in Santiago, Chile, aims to create a new framework for government-to-government (G2G) negotiations, enabling countries to access Embraer’s defense products and solutions through a more structured and institutional channel.

New Model for Defense Cooperation

Under the agreement, ALADA—recently authorized by Brazil’s Ministry of Defense to conduct G2G procurements—will play a key role in facilitating international defense contracts. This approach is expected to strengthen Brazil’s Defense Industrial Base while opening new export pathways for aerospace products and services.

The partnership introduces a new business model for Brazil, positioning ALADA as a strategic intermediary in global defense negotiations and enhancing the credibility of international agreements.

Focus on Emerging Markets

The collaboration comes at a time when Embraer is actively expanding its footprint in strategic markets, particularly in Latin America and Africa. Both regions are seen as high-potential areas for defense and security solutions, driven by increasing demand for modernization and operational capability.

Embraer’s defense portfolio—including platforms such as the KC-390 Millennium and the A-29 Super Tucano—continues to gain global traction, supporting the company’s international growth strategy.

Strengthening Global Reach and Industry Position

The agreement reflects a broader strategy to enhance Brazil’s position in the global aerospace and defense market. By combining Embraer’s technological capabilities with ALADA’s institutional role, the partnership is expected to accelerate access to new markets and foster long-term international cooperation.
