Air Macau commenced flight service between Macau and Qingdao on the 29th August 2018. The new flight service provides four weekly services on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Air Macau held an inaugural ceremony at Macau International Airport (MIA), marking the formal launch of flights between Macau and Qingdao. Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) represented to attend the ceremony
Mr. Eric Fong extended a very warm welcome to Air Macau new service in MIA. He expressed in his speech, “The number of passengers visiting Macau via Macau International Airport increased by 17% year to date, and Mainland China market grew by 30%. Hence, the aviation industry has made valuable contribution to the development of Macau’s tourism industry. MIA will continue cope with the Macau SAR Government to integrate the infrastructure facilities in the Greater Bay Area, and also work closely with Air Macau to expand Mainland China air services, connecting passengers to Southeast Asia routes service with Air Macau network. MIA look forward to expand cooperation opportunities with Air Macau, aiming to open up new air services, so as to further strengthen the route network providing passengers with more convenient travel options.
