EGYPTAIR celebrated its 90th anniversary with its customers traveling on its flights by providing gifts, promotional materials, free and discount tickets, extra weight and free miles in the frequent flyer program. A number of souvenir photos were taken inside the halls and its lounges and on board the aircraft.
The national carrier was also keen to celebrate this important event with its customers around the world by distributing many free travel tickets and granting free miles in the EGYPTAIR Plus frequent flyer program, as well as upgrading the class from economy to business for many customers.
Also, the company launched a competition for its customers on social media to win free flight tickets to tourist destinations inside Egypt to encourage the incoming tourism movement to Egypt
In addition, the company also surprised its customers who booked their tickets through a number of its offices in Egypt at certain hours by granting them discounts on their flight tickets.
Moreover, EGYPTAIR has launched an advertising campaign to celebrate the 90th anniversary on the company’s official pages on social media and on board its aircraft, where the 90th anniversary logo is placed on seats headrests during May, in addition to the distribution of a symbolic gift, “a 1-pound coin” bearing the logo of Horus and the 90th anniversary, on flights departing from Cairo today.
On his part, Capt. Amr Abu El-Enein, Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR Holding Company, congratulated the company’s employees on the occasion of its 90th anniversary, and praised their honorable and influential role in the company over the past years.
He confirmed that EGYPTAIR has been a pioneer in Africa as it is the first airline in the Middle East and Africa. It contributed in serving the national efforts and directions to raise Egypt’s flag and achieved the aspirations of the Egyptians, so it deserved the title of the National Carrier of Egypt.
Abu El-Enein added that the EGYPTAIR’s employees follow the same approach as the first pioneers, exerting their best efforts to maintain the distinguished and global position that the national carrier has reached, which befits the name of Egypt and its position among the various countries of the world.
He pointed out that despite the challenges facing the air industry, EGYPTAIR continues to pursue its development and modernization strategy by upgrading its fleet, expanding its route network, increasing the number of destinations the company reaches, and opening new markets to attract more customers, especially to Africa besides the destinations that contribute in increasing the incoming tourist movement to Egypt, as well as working to raise the level of services provided to customers, and enhancing joint cooperation regionally and internationally.
