An American tourist managed to shut down part of Vienna Airport when she turned up with an unexploded World War 2 artillery shell.
The 24-year-old found the bomb while hiking, then cleaned it in her hotel room so as not to get her clothes dirty when she packed, Deutche Welle reported.
At the airport she placed the 7.5 centimetre calibre tank artillery shell in front of an Austrian customs official and asked whether the "souvenir" could be taken on board her flight home.
A bomb disposal unit was called in, shutting down the arrival and luggage hall for 15 minutes.
