AJet Expands Its Fleet with New Generation Aircraft: 7 Deliveries in the Last 3 Months
AJet, Türkiye’s youngest airline, continues to strengthen and modernize its fleet as part of its strategic growth plan. The factory-fresh Boeing 737-8 MAX, registered as TC-OHH, has arrived at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, marking the 7th new generation aircraft added to the fleet within the past three months.
AJet CEO Kerem Sarp welcomed the aircraft upon arrival and confirmed that three additional new aircraft will join the fleet before the end of the year.
76% of the Fleet Will Consist of New Generation Aircraft in 2026
Kerem Sarp shared details regarding AJet’s fleet expansion roadmap:
“Next year, we will add 37 Boeing 737-8 MAX, 17 Airbus A321neo, and 7 Airbus A320 aircraft to our fleet. This will bring our fleet size to 103 aircraft, with 76% of them being new generation models. We are also evaluating further options to accelerate the replacement of older aircraft.”
Local Engineering Enhances Cabin Comfort
The newly delivered aircraft arrive without seats. After arrival, the aircraft are equipped with “Miligram” lightweight seats developed by Turkish engineers and manufactured by TCI, a wholly owned Turkish aerospace company within the Turkish Airlines Group. These seats increase cabin comfort while also improving fuel efficiency.
Sarp highlighted this contribution:
“Thanks to TCI’s locally engineered lightweight seating, we will offer our passengers enhanced cabin comfort while improving operational efficiency and environmental performance.”
Fleet Modernization to Continue
AJet aims to take delivery of an average of five new aircraft per month throughout the upcoming year. This strategy supports the airline’s goals of increased capacity, greater fuel efficiency, and reduced environmental impact.
