Airbus and Turkish Airlines Host “Türkiye Industrial Cooperation Meeting 2025” in Toulouse

Toulouse, France – 05 November 2025
Airbus, in collaboration with Turkish Airlines, held the “Türkiye Industrial Cooperation Meeting 2025” on 3–4 November in Toulouse, bringing together Turkish aerospace suppliers, public institutions, Airbus procurement teams, and leading global supply chain partners. The event aimed to deepen industrial cooperation and expand international business opportunities for Türkiye’s aviation industry.

Throughout the two-day program, around 40 Turkish supplier companies and representatives from relevant public bodies met at the Airbus Leadership University in Blagnac. Participants visited Airbus’ Final Assembly Line, set up supplier booths, received program and procurement briefings, and engaged in B2B sessions to explore potential new partnerships.

Event Organized Under the STEP Program

The Türkiye Industrial Cooperation Meeting was held as part of the Strategic Türkiye Engagement Program (STEP), jointly carried out by Airbus, Turkish Airlines and Rolls-Royce. STEP focuses on four key pillars:

  • Strengthening Türkiye’s aviation industry capabilities,
  • Supporting collaboration with Turkish Airlines and its subsidiaries,
  • Developing human capital and technical competencies,
  • Advancing sustainability initiatives.

Established on the foundations of the Competitive Industry Program (CIP) that has been active since 2009, STEP aims to expand Türkiye’s role in Airbus’ global supply network through recurring B2B industrial events starting in 2025.

Türkiye’s Longstanding Strategic Role in Airbus Supply Chain

Türkiye has been an integral part of Airbus’ supply chain for over 20 years, contributing to all major commercial aircraft programs — from the A220 to the flagship A350, and previously the A380. Today, every Airbus commercial aircraft built includes components manufactured in Türkiye.

Airbus directly supports over 3,000 aviation jobs in Türkiye.
Under the long-term industrial collaboration between Airbus and Turkish Airlines, the cumulative business volume generated in Türkiye has surpassed USD 4.6 billion, of which approximately USD 600 million occurred in 2024 alone.
